This review is from: Total Gym XLS Trainer (Sports) This is my second Total Gym XLS machine. My first is used inside the house. The second we got for a workout area on a screened patio. Now that I am using the machine on a consistant basis, I am extremely happy with it an how it functions. It does describe 60+ exercises that you can do, but of course I have selected around 25 that I like and ignore those I am not fond of doing. Gravity resistance exercising is fantastic for building strength, and minimizing potential injury. Every form of weight traning and exercise has its place. Most all have their specific benefits. This is the kind of work out equipment that can let inexperienced people, or less strong people get a start. And then at a higher level, it can really make you work. With weights, you can see the amount of weight on a disc. With the Total Gym, it is a resistance to your own weight. And there are distinct challenges as you notch it up a level. This machine can definitely tone as well as build strength and muscle. And we never fold ours up to put them away, even though we can. We have a few of the extras for it which we find useful. This machine is "totally" worth it!
